591. There's No Way Out Poem by Jaden Knight

591. There's No Way Out

Stuck within this mortal sack
doomed to roam the cortex ridges
until at least I can be free
released from this earthly torment

This creature's mind is like a maze
always pulling to the centre
I cannot see our destination
the darkness inside is near impenetrable

The veins provide a mini escape
but they cannot provide a permanent release
soon enough I am back in the Skull
no closer to getting my wish

this being is broken yet refuses to expire
its stubbornness only fuels my desire
although it appears to be fragile
I cannot pierce or penetrate the skin

Until the blood has all drained away
the bones fractured and broken
until the reaper comes I'm imprisoned
scythe man hear my cry and release me
THERE'S NO WAY OUT
