ok, i'm about to put into a freshly-prepared 'Section C'. bri :)
i wonder how many guys/gals have thought like this as they drove/walked/ran to a Christmas party. i have seen mistletoe at parties, sometimes made of plastic. i wonder if the result of a kiss, or the kiss itself, is influenced differently depending on whether the mistletoe is Nature-grown or plastic-grown. i like this. it is one type of 'classic John Westlake'. very thoughtful and serious, tinged with romance or lack of it. and very well written. this is my favorite stanza, 'cause it gave me a chuckle, AND because i could 'see myself' thinking the same way perhaps. I just want to know in advance so I won't be disappointed by how you react if our eyes should meet at the Christmas party and I'm standing alone under the mistletoe when Section C of December's showcase is ready, this is planned to be the first poem in it. i hope i remember! bri ;) p.s. don't forget the breath mint! ! to MyPoemList
