50 People - 33 Poem by Raj Dronamraju

50 People - 33

33

Janet was not moved by honesty or vulnerability
Janet failed to be moved by the very real male undressing in public in front of her

Janet would not cut corners
Her principles were separated from her hard faced compartmentalization

Her frozen countenance greeting the men who come here like an unwelcome mat
Her frozen countenance, that ice shelf will never collapse, will never melt into water

She took no pleasure in claiming pleasure
She took no joy in experiencing joy

Janet was not affected by the sincere and true male essence that came pouring out of another passerby
Another passerby doomed to keep moving, to run until one day keeling over dead

While Janet will stay rooted in the same spot
The skin on her face so tight
