(cont.) I walked to a Harlem grocery store several blocks from our rental and didn't realize I was not supposed to gather food in my own shopping bag. A store detective stopped me and questioned me. Ha! ! : )

I've begun to read the poem. So, you are a Big Apple Boy (oops! I mean Man, man! !) ? My wife and I rented in Harlem for a few days during a NYC visit a few years back. (cont.)

Ain't there a rapper named 50 Cent? He ain't YOU, IS HE? ? A fish in one's hand? That sounds fishy to me. I looked at a few comments, below. Mine will come... ;)

And I suppose most readers would be surprised to realize the tragedy of living on 50 cents a day. Your poem has expressed this clearly, although it weighs heavy on the reader's heart. Thanks for posting!

Life n the ghetto teaches you a lot: to live on 50 cents a day, to go on for days without a meal, to love and not to love, and finally to live a life with values or to be a robber…

An honest poem that truthfully depicts the acute poverty and bitter experiences in the begone days of the poet.

Poor Edward! Heaven forbid that you should roll, roll, roll your boat. You would drown! What you want to do is ROW, ROW, ROW your boat!

What a marvellous poem! It's written with the tip of his heart dipping in blood. What a cruel experience which a humn being may not taste in his life. You have survived every challenge and is in the forefront of victorious fighters. Long live in glittering life dear dear Edward.
