464. Lunar Friendship Cycle Poem by Jaden Knight

464. Lunar Friendship Cycle

Last full moon you wanted to be my friend
this one you have disappeared
funny how a lunar cycle can change things
especially when it comes to friendship

We met during a new moon as strangers
each curious as the other
questions asked and answers given
they rattled through the air as quick as thought

As the moon waned so did our interest
as we started to annoy each other
by the time the cycle was complete
we were just like strangers again
going our separate ways

Last full moon you wanted to be my friend
but this time I have almost forgotten you
almost in anticipation I wait
to see what the next new moon may bring
