454. I Wanted To Say I Love You Poem by Jaden Knight

I wanted to say 'I love you'
but could not find the right way to do so
when I opened my mouth to tell you
nothing would come out
until long after you had walked away

I wanted to tell you what I felt for you
but you didn't seem to listen
your ears never heard anything I said
or else twisted it beyond all recognition

I desired to show you just how I felt
but nothing went how I planned it
every attempt resulted in failure
causing more embarrassing moments

Haven't seen you for many years
but I still look back at those younger days
when we were both young and stupid
and I wanted to tell you 'I love you'
