420. False Flags Poem by Jaden Knight

420. False Flags

You liked to sail the seas flying friendly flags
appearing harmless to other ships
when they get close enough
you show your true colours

Once you're alongside you attempt to get on board
wishing to overpower them by sheer surprise
not enough are able to fight back
to repel any of the attacks
as you swipe what you want
leaving them in flames

You got a shock when I spotted your plan
and struck first with a broadside
your vessel was immediately crippled
as flames appeared where each shot struck
you were unable to return fire
as we leave your to your uncertain fate
not caring if you float or sink

You liked to sail the seas flying friendly flags
but now others have got wise to your tactics
they will recognise you for what you are
and will blow you out of the water on sight
before you can even attempt to approach them
