397. Poem by Jaden Knight

397.

Who could joke about something
as pure and precious as true love
possibly one who has never felt it
or one so consumed by hate and rage
that it has blinded them to its nature

It is correct that love can span many things
and is often misunderstood
but that does mean it should be mocked
or belittled by uncomprehending idiots

Some have never felt its power
only hollow attempts
but it is the wish of some who care
that all will know its beauty

Who could joke about something
as pure and precious as true love
possibly one who has never felt it
or one so consumed by hate and rage
that it has blinded them to its nature
