394. £15 Trainers Pass On Poem by Jaden Knight

394. £15 Trainers Pass On

I bought a pair of trainers 10 years ago
that were on sale for only 15 pounds
black with green stripes and laces
with mini studs for muddy ground

The first match I played in them I bagged four goals
which made me laugh and smile
I thought 'these ones will do me well
I hope they last a while'

Despite my best efforts of looking after them
they began so show signs of wear
mud and rain had done their worst
and some of the stitching was staring to tear

I eventually had to replace them
as they got too full of holes
I know they went to a better place
as it turns out that they have soles
