A sweet poem

This elegy has been presented so beautifully, and elegantly. It is poignant, with the love and care of the departed soul so vividly captured. I will say it is an exquisite song with its rhyme and rhythm.

Great poem Germain, is not the faded dress the bird, what we hold after the incident of experience is all we truly have.

Lovely poem, Melvina. It could be made into a song. It already has the chorus and everything.

i thought for sure i'd read and commented on this one this past year! perhaps not? anyway, i definitely like this one and shall send it to MyPoemList and to my/our November showcase, Section B. a bit depressing for some near the end i suppose, but some will perhaps enjoy knowing that others grieve for lost ones. well done! I like the rhyming and the repetition of the two-line stanza; can’t go too wrong mentioning song birds! bri :)
