These lines struck me as very significant: '/But here I am - as strong as I've ever been, ready to fight back, and I owe it all to the amalgamation of different battles outside the battlefield.'/ We have many experiences in our life, in a literal and a figurative battlefield. But in the end, we must all choose whether we can be our own master. Thanks for sharing your strong poem Kim.
