285. The Jigsaw Of Your Life Poem by Jaden Knight

285. The Jigsaw Of Your Life

Rating: 5.0

I'm sorry to only be a piece of sky
in the jigsaw of your life
I'd rather have been a helpful edge
to help define its shape

Instead of being something useful
I am stuck here near the middle
with no fixed purpose
but what you once had set for me

I guess I play my part
which is better than most would do
I do fit in a particular way
hopefully sliding seamlessly into a hole

I'm sorry to only be a piece of sky
in the jigsaw of your life
I'd rather have been a helpful edge
but to be honest I'm rather proud
to be part of your puzzle
where others have just been left in the box
