265. Believe Me Or Not Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Believe me or not
Still my mind cries
Only for you.
When you first met me
Like the winter sunlight
My mind felt so delighted.

Then I observed you
Day after day.
Like the spring wind
You touched my mind
And like the new born sun
You arose in my heart.

One day you said to me,
'Believe me or not
Whenever I spend hour
With you, only with you
I feel so happy
As if I'm in Heaven'.

Then I thought of you
All over the day.
You came to my dream.
You lived in my mind.
I felt your essence
In my life.

We became so close
To each other
And gradually
Our minds got oneness.
Our hearts were tied
With the cord of love.

We began to fly
In the sky of happiness.
One day a storm arose
In the sky of your mind.
And the cord of love
Between our hearts cut off.

Then we got separated
From each other.
Believe me or not
We can never be close
To each other's heart.
Still my heart cries
Only for you.
