259. If I Were... Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

259. If I Were...

Rating: 5.0

If I were a dream,
I would enter your mind
To fulfil your ambition
And the shadow of suffering
Would never fall on your mind
Where only joy would play always.

If I were the flame of a lamp,
I would never be put out
Only to vanish
The darkness of your mind.
The light of your love would illumine
My mind and heart every time.

If I were Lionardo da Vinchi,
I would not create Mona Lisa.
So nicely I would sketch you
With the colour of my passion
That the whole world would admire
And remember both of us forever.

If I were you,
No distance would be made
Between our hearts.
Our minds would gain oneness
And our souls would be unified
To sing the song of Eternity.
