228. In Search Of Green

Rating: 5.0

Born in a small village in the heart of nature
And grown up with her nursing and great care
Today I am working and living in a great city -
My present love, the Cultural Capital of my country.

She has many names due to her heritage and loveliness.
Some call her the city of joy, others call her a city of palace.
She is rich in art, culture, tradition, values and morality.
People come from everywhere to watch her charm and beauty.

By the city the holiest river flows at her own pace
And all work and travel with joy and happiness.
Day passes, season changes but my love grows for her
As she gives me joy and keeps my mind so fair.

Yet I can't forget my first love, my little village
As she reared me and paved the way to success.
Every year when the 5th June comes I dream
To come back to my first love in search of green.
