Where were you when the swords were drawn
and the enemy tried scaling the walls
many could have be slain that day
but they were driven off before too many were hurt
Where were you when the shots were fired
and cannon thundered in the valley
thankfully there was only structural damage
and that can be repaired
Where were you when the assassins came
I didn't receive any warning
none got to their target
but in my eyes they got too close
Where were you when I needed you
one who swore to watch to the end
the one who's back I'm sworn to protect
one who's meant to be my friend
