2...The Bulwell Rake Poem by Casual Diamond

2...The Bulwell Rake

A dashing young fellow, on the go
In Nottingham central I'm very well known
In Long Eaton too, I've spent many the night
With Lynda, Emma and Mary.

My father berated me for being such a rake
Wasting my time in friskysome ways
But I'll never forget the good lays with Jane
I wonder where she went to?

There's Liz and Debbie from the town of Snape Wood
And Candy and Helen from meetings so good
Kitty and Tina who have stood by my side
And wished for longer I stayed.

If I have the chance to go to the town of Derby
There's Laura and Becky waiting for me
They'll buy me strong ale to keep me awake
Treat me, unknown to their parents!

There's one from Mansfield and one from Gedling
Another from Sawley who got me beguiled
And being so pure, her stockings were white
Oh to be tucked up neat in her garter.

When I'm gone 'neath nettles and stones
The women will crowd and cry at my wake
Their sons and daughters can utter their prayers
'Oh Lord, look after our father'!

......I wish.
