I agree with Carolyn, very nice and I had to read it a few times. Not because I found it hard to understand, your language is simple and direct, but I think there are ideas within that are rather complex. At least, it sets the mind to wandering.
This is just a poem- - - an abstraction (a great understatement!)
This is very nice, I have read this one 5 times.. Thank you.. Happy New Year! ! Carolyn
i LIKE THIS ONE, WHAT DO WE HAVE TO TAKE OFF IN THE END? STEVE
all poetry is an abstract fom the mind of some visionary looking for he knows not what
'I took off my shoes/that I might be/the one I was in search of..' snared me. That's poetry, the real thing. Great poem, Tom. Keep those insights coming.
I to this day do not wear a watch. Because when you do someone will always ask you for the time and then you have to admit that you don't know.
Tom, you sounded like you might have been a flower child way back then. With daisies painted all over your skin getting ready for Woodstock no doubt. Great poem my friend. Top marks and thanks for sharing this witty piece with us. David
TOM, EACH POEM IS A DELIGHT. I FEEL LIKE I'M THERE WITH YOU SEEING, DOING, FEELING, THINKING, QUESTIONING. THANK YOU. ALSO, MY BROTHER, CHARLES HUGHES, JUST SUBMITTED SIX-POEMS. HE HAS READ MANY OF YOURS. THINKS YOU ARE THE GREATEST. HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON. CAROL
