18 Poem by Tori Bachue

You never laugh
It seems
Not truly
Reserved in delight

That look you wear
That sends shivers down my spine

When I listen
The winds
It's like they announce you

Walking towards me from the sunset -
Waiting for you on the island
Yet you never show

There's more to you
Than meets my eye
A land undiscovered
Long lost treasures...

Would you let me in?
I might not love you
I might run away

The choice would be yours
For now
Seize it

Fall not in the same suffocating patterns
Leave me not to my own harmful thoughts

I came to find a home
As a dreamer, an artist, a traveller
Let's take a shot.
