Heaviest endurance of deepest melancholy. Superfantastically captured, Unnikrishnan Poet! I cannot find enough words to express my appreciations! . So much said in such a Brevity
When life falls from one bottomless pit to another, nothing remains but for the free fall syndrome… thank you, Sylvia
So deeply poignant and touching in just minimal lines. A vivid depiction of.melancholy.
When sun sets in the morning, is there a glimmer of hope?
Sorry you went through such a valley. This is the moment when one starts to avoid the day as it resembles the night before, the nightmares and the sweat. Also that you wrote 'darker are my days', days become darker than nights
There are times in every life when sun sets in the morning and gloom takes over..
my fingers typed these lines at a time when I was going through a very difficult phase. My entire family. Whenever I read these lines, I feel reliving those days.
that sorrow reached out from the words of this poem and made me catch my breath at the pain and the perfect visual symbol for it---a sun setting in the morning--- this is a piece of great writing, my friend
Thank you Susie. My agonies would have been nothing, compared to what you endure. May God be with you, Susie
Poet Amber Piercy has added this poem to her favourites. Thank You, my dear poet
It is a dark day when the sun sets in the morning. When Mt St. Helen's blew I remember the sun being shut out in the morning by clouds of falling ash that darkened the whole day. The effects were lasting! An emotional Mt. St. Helen's is just as lasting! I've been there!
Thank you, LeeAnn. My pain inked this poem. Unshed tears.
In just fourteen words you have expressed your deepest sorrow so beautifully.
It is always a pleasure to read your comments on the poems. Grateful!
Melancholy can't de described in any better way than that you have done here. Top score.
I am at a loss of words to express my gratitude, Dillipji.

May be such tragic moments are given to us in to understand that the sun is not on outer world but a spark inside our heart?

Hi Frances, Thank you. Haiku expert, neither am I. I just penned it in three lines; but am not sure whether it conforms to the rigors/standards of haiku. But am extremely happy that you liked it. Thanks.
Thank you, Hannah for the lovely words. Obliged
The poet who used the pseudonym "Sister Frances" and shared her magnificent poems on PoemHunter is a very talented poet. Thank you, Hannah.
Your words are so sincere, Hannah. I am so unhappy that you have left the PoemHunter site. Wish you'd come back
Darkness is the eternal truth. Light is just a fancy, a dream, a passing phenomenon…
This is NOT a Haiku (5-7-5) but so very true: a great Poem in such a Brevity. Bravo, Unnikrishnan!
