This is a relevant and meaningful poem, and I've known a number of people who have had problems like this but never found somebody like the poet subjective implied to take care of them. I don't know if it's a nice wishing thing or true, but a very good poem. Nothing one might have the urge to tell unless it rhymes.

I like this poem very much. It descends to the depths in the middle but then ascends to the heights of fulfillment. I admire the character of the Good Samaritan narrator who does not see her as a sexual partner but a fellow human being. It is the wholeness of her life that he is determined to restore. And if I'm reading this correctly, when she finally finds a decent man who loves her, he steps aside. That's agape love. Your poem refreshes the spirit.

I agree with Noreen, the rhyming here is lovely. On another level though, I'm sure there are so many broken hearted girls out there who wish for this kind of ending. I get the feeling, most of them will get it - I'm being optimistic though. ~Nika
