Profanisaurus, Where I used to run I can walk tall where I once hid I sit in plain sight instead of the shadows following I see only mine before there was darkness now there is light and hope if you could bottle the stuff that could make such a turnaround in a person, you could be a cazillionaire! ! ! - - - - - - - - I will stand and fight my ground, ......here in the good old u.s. of a. i would write stand my ground and fight. have a craze as day! bri :)

john, i'm tempted to repeat amazing, a word used in the first comment, below. but, as i am a natural superior talent in the field of humorous poetry, i just think you are a natural superior talent in YOUR field of poetry. so, although i think the poem was very well-written and very captivating for me, the reader, i'm not sure i am ready to call it amazing. it may just be a simple task for you to create such a good poem. on the other hand it might be amazing if some other PH members could write so well. this comment IS a COMPLIMENT, in case you couldn't tell. thanks for sharing. bri :) p.s. my favorite stanza is this: In that place they will not pass as rays of white light shines down from the sky burning through through each one of them as they fall to the ground like fresh cut wheat none in the area will survive the beams but me I’ll be the only one standing it is a little stephen spielbergish? that's not bad either. it does, however, contain the one error i noticed. at least i think you don't want the second s in shines. as rays.....shine...

This is truly an amazing poem and I can't wait to read more of your poetry, you can be who ever you want to be and I'm always here for you as well, but the detail of this poem is fantastic and I hope you don't give up poetry
