1,2,3,4, I Declare A Cold War

Rating: 5.0

1,2,3,4, I declare a cold war
A battle of words, not swords
A war that's fought with icy stares
And hearts that have become so bare
No guns, no bombs, just silent pain
As we stand on opposite lanes
The love we had, now a distant dream
Our happiness, torn at the seams
It started with a simple fight
But now it's grown into a plight
Every word, a bullet shot
Each one, a dagger to my heart
1,2,3,4, I declare a cold war
Our love, the casualty, the core
We used to laugh, we used to smile
But now, we've become so hostile
We built walls between us, brick by brick
As we let our promises slip
The silence between us, a deafening roar
As we both declare, 'I want no more'
But in the midst of this cold war
I can't help but wonder what for
Why we let love slip away
And chose to fight, instead of stay
1,2,3,4, the battle rages on
But deep down, we both know we're wrong
For love should never be a war
But a bond that we both adore
So let's lay down our weapons tonight
And end this foolish, senseless fight
For 1,2,3,4, I declare a truce
And hope our love can still produce
A love that's stronger than before
One that can withstand any storm
No more cold wars, no more pain
Just two hearts that will love again.
