Coming to Raga Bilahari i remember the way that raga was handled by Ilayaraja in the Tamil film ' Unnal Mudiyum Thambi' with kamal and gemini ganesan in the lead; the song ' Maanida saevai drogama ' is my favourite and whenever i am hit in my charity work i play that song; I am impressed that Thyagaiyya sang his first song in that raga again i am touched by another area about ' nail defeating the moon '(para 14 of yr poem) In Lalitha Sahasranamam my Divine Mother is described as ' Nakhadheeti Sanchanna namajjana thamoghunaayai Namah '...which means in Sanskrit i salute the one who removes the darkness which resides in the heart of Her children with the light of Her toe nails'.... Many such jewels strike me...but i get drowned in Her grace of making Her children think about Her in unique ways.... You will not believe. I am very tight scheduled dying to get 30 hrs plus per day but your Saint makes me read everyday; today being ' Adi velli kizhamai combined with Varalakshmi vradham' its a coincidence or rather the wish of my Mother to remember Her throu' the great man' s life presented by another great man Rajaram You should live for 500 years for this bliss only
Your rich vocabulary is to be commended. Written with elegance. More than worthy of a ten. Best regards, Sandra
