When I had lost my way
you showed me the map of my life
and told me the path to safety
yet explained to me the truth

You were always there when I needed help
always there when I cry
no comparison to you I have found
despite great searching

I promise that I will do the same
to let my love for you show
to never let my feelings shadow
how much I care for you

When you cry let me be there
to calm and comfort you
my best for you will be done
but what ever happens tomorrow
the eternal flame of love
will never be extinguished
