0431 You Couldn'T Make It Up... I Hope... Comments

The end is perfect and perfectly timed. Every aspect of the poem adds to its humor: the name of the confused little fish; the image of them congregating around the sewage outlet (no doubt smoking anchovies and propositioning passing schools of fish (male, female, etc.): and the invitation to the reader to speculate at his/her/its peril all combine to make this a delight.
