I have had the same experience....interesting. Thank you for speaking of it....the mind's eye sees alot. Cheers!
Colin! I think this happens to most of the poets. My wife compares it with conceiving a baby. Whn i finished the job somewhere at midnight, she looks at me we halfclosed eyes and asks'where is the baby' or 'easy labour'...Ha! sometimes we are found funny by others. I felt so good reading this poem.
This does happen (the first part: awakening and a poem is there) and it is a delightful thought. A worthwhile thought letting it be free, but I can't quite believe that. A poet letting a poem fly away. I guess you are on a higher plane than I am.
I do agree with this piece of yours, Colin..this is lovely..thanks for sharing hugs, Meggie
Yes, a beautiful poem and an interesting one at that. Yes, a situation every poet has to go through once in a while. Love...................................................Risha
Words that come in the night are always to be welcomed. You are a true poet. Write on, Colin. As always, Sandra
I've had snatches of songs come to me in the night and rescued bits, but never poetry. You've got a poet's soul Colin. And it's a very good poem! jim
Sir. This is a lovely poem. This is the same thing that happens to me too. Love.Risha
hey i love this poem, so true. so many times its happened to me tho the time poems come to me is at night so I have to admit many hav been lost due to my laziness :) x
I can relate to this one. If we do not get up and write it down it is lost forever. Sometimes thoughts disturb my sleep.
