falling in love is
like a crisp, refreshing
Spring rain

washing away
pollen collected and
clogging up
my lungs
I breath anew
fresh, watery smells
of hope
the Sun breaking
through the clouds
provides warmth
and strength
I marvel at the
beauty of the clouds
dancing over the
Suns’ rays
welcome distractions
to the long, bitter
winter of love lost
to decay
a chill comes
over me, and I
recall the Fall, but
vow to remain
stalwart, waiting,
like Linus in his
pumpkin patch,
for new love,
hope, strength
and rebirth
