I was always a dog man but when I maaried my wife I took on her three cats and Two dogs I would noy say I am convert but the cats are slowly training me. I am amazed at their indidual characters Mind you they are a bit odd because they were mothered by two yorkshire terriers Zano the Tom even barks on occasion
Mine haven't passed on yet, but I will be in the same boat with in the next couple of years. You've hit another nerve with this one Colin.10++
I know the pain of losing pets and it never completely leaves you. But oh, such delicious memories they leave behind! I enjoyed it very much! Marilyn
Hi Colin - My cat's names are Emerson and Emily, fellow poets of course. They give me very serious looks if they dislike a poem and sit on my stomach to show their approval. Thank you for this fine poem about your furry children. Blessings - Cheryl Lynn Moyer
Oh my I would be lost without my Meghan, even though she's a brat of a cat....it's nice to have someone angry at you for leaving when you come home....nice, because it shows love.Precious, my only other wee one left the day JFK JR. died, not a good day....Pets don't grow up and leave like the children but remain loyal to us as long as they are breathing...This is sad but so well written, sad, because one can't help but relate to the loss of a pet......marci.xo
Very poignant. The unconditional love of our pets is not replacable. Warm regards, Sandra
A big 10 from me Colin. The little buggers just steal your heart away and we let them! Always sad to lose them but the joy they give lasts a lifetime. PR x
They get under the skin, and the memory never goes away. Simple things remind us! Great names btw! A fitting tribute mun!
