This is lovely, Michael. But my ear tells me it is too chatty and discursive still. It wants a distillation. Imagine starting with 'Do we deserve each other? ' That provokes, and it sets a time measure that is tight and demanding. No hemming! There is beauty here that is aching to burst forth with great power!

I read this as a poem I can walk around in. It is familiar and surrounds one with a concert of sounds that are so good for the soul. I am not succeeding in what I want to convey so let me say it is a great poem with a fine glimpse. Best H
