क़त्ल करके भी मुस्कुराती हो:

सुनो, जरा बताओ कैसे कर पाती हो
क़त्ल करके भी मुस्कुराती हो,
तड़पा तड़पा के मारती हो जिनसे
अदाओं के ख़ंजर कहाँ से लाती हो ।
शबनमी तपिश में है हर शख़्स यहां
न जले न बुझे बस धुआं ही धुआं,
धीरे धीरे जो सांसों को सुलगाये
ऐसी क़ातिल आग कहाँ से लाती हो।
सुनो जरा बताओ.............
