A tingle that creeps
From a place yet unspoken
Seeps into a heart
That’s been bruised and been broken
...

Can you hear me calling
Across this lonely night
My heart shouts as it's falling
Struggling hard to survive the fight

Love's Deathly Reprieve

A tingle that creeps
From a place yet unspoken
Seeps into a heart
That’s been bruised and been broken
It lay in a cage
Black and dead as can be
When the tingle reached in
It beat 1,2, then 3
Healthier color returns
Its death has ended
Yet still the blood drips
From the place it’s been mended
Then a tender soul
With a heart of gold
Helps allow it to heal
Cradled in its protective hold
What caused this reprieve?
Not sure if it’s true
All that I can think is
It started with you
