Borned in Jamaica, I am the 1st child of mother Marcia Garrick and the last of five for father LLoyd Phillips. Growing up i spent most of my spare time reading novels, poetry and performing speech and drama. It was as a result of my love and passion for reading that i started writing poems; poems which i usually write when i am in low spirits. Now at the tender age of 21 I have decided to take my writing more seriously as it is what gives me peace of mind and soothes others. Hopefully, sometime in the future i may be able to publish a book of all the pieces written by me.
Lying here all alone i silently ponder.
Beside me was once a figure, a person, a lover.
Or was it just a figment of my imagination? Was he really here or was i just dreaming? ..........
No, it was real...i know it was. His scent still lingers in the atmosphere, there is an indelible impression on the pillow next to me.
