In this society where so much goes on that I abhor
what am I grateful for?

I'm grateful for the aid of relatives, and friends

I said no to the tyranny of school
No to the pre- set curriculum, work, and rules
No to the early start, and packed schedule
But society didn't listen - they just forced me through
...

If you are kind, yet firm
If you avoid frivolity, and promiscuity - lest you get burned
If you choose your husband well and; love, respect, and accept him for who he is, warts and all
If you follow his lead without resentment
...

Oh listen here you dogs!
You must not continue to hog
With useless studies young people's time
If you want their lives to have either reason, or rhyme
...
