My name is Moffat Banda, a poet hailing from the beautiful country of Zambia, specifically Lusaka. Born on August 26,2003, I am the fifth child in a family of seven. Life has presented me with its fair share of challenges, including the loss of my father at the tender age of 12. However, it is through these trials that I discovered my passion for poetry, as it became my outlet for expressing my emotions and innermost thoughts.
Early Life and Education: Growing up in Lusaka, I had a relatively normal childhood until the untimely passing of my father. This event left a profound impact on me, as I had to navigate life without his guidance and support. Despite this loss, I managed to complete my high school education at Munali Boys Secondary School. It was during this time that I found solace in the art of poetry, using it as a means to cope with my emotions and the challenges I faced.
Discovering Poetry: Initially, I faced rejection and disappointment when attempting to share my poetry with others. However, these setbacks only fueled my determination to express myself through writing. The pain I experienced from these rejections became the catalyst for my poetic journey. Through perseverance and self-reflection, I honed my skills and developed a unique voice that resonated with others.
Whisper of the Heart: The Journey of Pain, Love, and Heartbreak: In my pursuit of self-expression, I embarked on a poetic endeavor that culminated in the creation of my poetry book, 'Whisper of the Heart: The Journey of Pain, Love, and Heartbreak.' This collection delves into the depths of human emotions, exploring themes of pain, love, and heartbreak. Each poem within the book reflects my personal experiences and the challenges I have faced throughout my life.
The Journey to Becoming a Poet: My journey as a poet has been shaped by the hardships I have endured and the efforts I have invested in personal growth. It is through these experiences that I have discovered my true passion and purpose. Writing poetry has allowed me to transform my pain into art, connecting with others who may have experienced similar struggles.
Conclusion: As I continue to navigate my path as a poet, I am grateful for the challenges I have faced. They have molded me into the person I am today and have given me the ability to touch the hearts of others through my words. With my poetry book, 'Whisper of the Heart: The Journey of Pain, Love, and Heartbreak, ' currently in the review process at Olympia Publishers, I eagerly anticipate sharing my journey with a wider audience. Through my poetry, I hope to inspire, heal, and connect with others who may find solace in the power of words.
Let me take care of your broken heart
and show you how to fly.
Let me hold you gently by the hand
and kiss your tears goodbye.

Everytime I want to fight, I fight a losing battle
My heart has unhealed wounds, my mind is sick
My body is weak
My spirit is willing to fight, but I don't have the right
...
To everything there's a time and season
Time to laugh and to weep for good reason.
A season for living, to find true love
And a time to dance with angels above...

The sun never goes down and the moon never shine brighter without thinking of the beautiful Emely
The stars shine brighter, the birds rejoice in the sky but in my mind am thinking of the beautiful Emely
...
If you just know how much I love you
how much I care and jealous.
I'm jealous from my dreams,
from my heart and my thoughts.
