A Misty Morning

It's a misty morning rising
As I wake and wipe the sleep
from my still tired eyes.
The grass looks so much greener
and the trees look so much leafier
as I see them today for the first time.
I Wipe the mist from my window pane
and I watch the day awake,
the rising of the songbirds
Welcoming the new day.
See the mist swirl in strange new shapes
it's a misty morning rising,
And I'm so glad that I'm alive
to greet this brand new day,
On a misty early morning
as the brand new day is dawning,
and despite, all my yawning,
I'm glad that I'm part of this brand new day,
this wonderful new day.
