Could You Love A Poor Boy?

What do I care for snob appeal
When I don't have the really real?
The fancy car- the right address
Can't hide the fact my life's a mess.
The Cartier and designer shades,
Neither disguise I've lost in spades.
And with no luck at all in love
Or any else worth thinking of,
They are but poor consolation
And don't salve my desolation.
S'what do I want for what I lack?
Just for starters- my money back!
But even with a whole lot less,
I still could be a big success
In faded jeans and a torn tee
With only someone who loved me.
