I have chosen the name Long Tooth because it suggests that I am an older US male. A more humorous interpretation might be that my poems have bite! While I hope that you find this is true, I leave it to your judgement.
I worship an inclusive God, who cares more about what is in a man's heart than what church he attends if he goes at all, a God, who judges one's faith by how you live your life, the kindness you show to strangers. These concepts are not uniquely Christian for sure, but I was born into a Christian family, even though my early church rejected blacks and Catholics out of hand with no consideration. I leave all judgement of others to God as I have never walked in anyone's shoes but my own. God has my complete trust and the highest goal of each day of my life is to walk in His Will! I view God's will for my life not to be an imposition on me at all but a guiding light desiring nothing more than that I should discover a unique bliss that embraces all of my talents.
The day that any poem that I write that touches you in brotherhood and encourages you to trust God more, I will count a Holy Day!
The pseudonym Roof Missing is a Russian expression that I think is cute. It suggests that I've blown my top! , My mind is gone! , or I'm so exasperated or confused!
Wow! Another great title; I've faith you'll agree,
but we're just on line two now! Whole poem? (We'll see!)
One's faith's truth can't be fact! If it is, then Faith's dead!
And God weeps, for this thought makes Christ toast in Man's head!

By scum and playground toughs,
With many I once thought were friends
Now cowards, powder puffs.

Though people may long for a present from God,
How many embrace the new day?
Instead of unwrapping what lies at their feet,
Dark memories paint a cliché

Tell me what do you hear

There is pleasure in 'knowing' this life will be ending,
the space my flesh occupies 'opening up' (for 'not mes')
