Llewellyn Douglas Poems

Many questions on my mind
The answers so difficult to find
Everyday so tired of thinking
About the same thing
...

South Africa the rainbow nation
So beautiful it's God's creation
Madiba fought for our freedom
South Africa is our Kingdom
...

O please remove that mask
Is that a difficult task
What I know and see
Could never ever be
...

Deep down in my soul
Like a storm out of control
my thoughts are fighting
My mind wandering
...

5.

Why? A question like Why
Why am I sad, why happy
Why happiness and sorrow
Why today or tomorrow
...

What you mean to me
Words can't express
Do I call you friend
Do I call you brother
...

Here we go again
All went well, suddenly
Dawn is breaking
And discomfort arise
...

Now that you're not here
Can't even see my fear
Created when I was small
Never show me to stand tall
...

It comes from deep within
That's where it begins
The emotions withheld
Suddenly being told
...

Not good enough
Not beautiful enough
Not strong enough
Not ambitious enough
...

How do I tell
Without hurting anyone
When full becomes empty
Light becomes darkness
...

My Mind And Me

Many questions on my mind
The answers so difficult to find
Everyday so tired of thinking
About the same thing

The challenges coming my way
Knowing they not there to stay
Preparing me to be strong
No matter the time short or long

Get up, go to work, eat sleep
How boring to sow and reap
In such a manner like this
It's so wrong it's craziness

Time so precious, life so short
Wipe your eyes, everything gone
Years gone by and really forgot
That they went through, such a lot
