In the hollow of the night, where shadows softly creep,
I walk alone on paths we carved, in memories I keep.
Your laughter lingers, ghost-like, in the corners of my mind,
But when I turn to find you there, it's only wind I find.

The world went silent the day you left,
A hush fell over all, as if time itself had wept.
The air grew thick with unshed tears,
And the earth beneath my feet trembled with fears.
...
In days of youth, so carefree and bright,
I danced through joy, bathed in sunlight.
Games and laughter, a melody in rhyme,
A world of happiness, an innocent time.

Time, a river that flows so swift,
Carries moments like leaves adrift.
You chase the dawn, then miss the night,
A soul grows weary, losing its light.
...
In the hush before dawn breaks,
When dreams still softly hum,
And the world lies in slumber's grasp,
To the beat of a quiet drum,
...
In the quiet moments when the world is still,
I close my eyes and see you, my heart's own thrill.
Though miles may stretch between your world and mine,
Our bond remains, unbroken, through space and time.

Golden arches, bright and true,
Fifty years of something new,
From morning's light to evening's close,
McDonald's shines wherever it goes.

Some months ago, without a clue,
A stranger came, out of the blue.
No invitation, no advance call,
He entered swiftly, towering tall.

Once, she was shadows and silver,
a wisp of night cloaked in black,
pierced by moonlight and metal gleams—
a constellation of studs, rings, and chains

I find myself lost, often, in glimpses of you—
The hum of a stadium, that green and blue,
Greece victorious, England left behind,
And you're there, a whisper sharp in my mind.
...
Spring stirs awake from winter's hollow chill,
Petals shake free, unfurling in a thrill—
Soft whispers of green in grey cracks appear,
Life rising like a breath, so bright, so clear.

The sky wears a softer shade,
washed by clouds the colour of smoke,
as trees set their leaves to flame,
burning bright before they break.

She lost her mother young,
in a hush that stole the dawn—
like a silent storm that sweeps the land,
leaving shadows where sun had shone.

In a little town where time forgot,
Lived some seniors who thought, 'Why not?
Let's master this tech, these gadgets and gizmos,
We'll be TikTok stars in their dance videos! '

Christmas in the Ward
The tinsel hangs on plastic trees,
A fragile cheer in memories' breeze.

Oh Thessaloniki, cradle of sunlit dreams,
Where azure waters whisper to golden streams,
Your streets, a tapestry of stories untold,
Where past and present seamlessly unfold.

The morning comes like a slap to the face,
Another day in this relentless race.
The air feels thick, like it's choking me out,
Each breath a question, each step a doubt.
...
I stood upon the precipice of night,
Where shadows whispered promises of flight,
A silent void, a siren's mournful plea,
And yet, the stars—so far—still called to me.

Born in 1992 in Widnes, I am an aspiring poet with a deep love for family and the art of words. My writing is fuelled by the connections I hold dear, finding inspiration in the everyday moments that weave together the tapestry of life. To Have Loved And Lost.
In the hollow of the night, where shadows softly creep,
I walk alone on paths we carved, in memories I keep.
Your laughter lingers, ghost-like, in the corners of my mind,
But when I turn to find you there, it's only wind I find.
The echoes of your voice fade like twilight's dying glow,
And every whispered word you spoke now trembles, soft and low.
I reach for you in empty rooms where once your presence stayed,
But all that's left is silence now, where love and light once played.
The world is full of faces, but none that I can see,
For all the eyes I look into are strangers, not like thee.
I search the crowd for remnants, for pieces of our past,
But every step I take alone reminds me love can't last.
Your touch, a distant memory, your smile, a fleeting dream,
I swim through waves of solitude, adrift in endless streams.
The nights are long and bitter cold, the days an endless gray,
Without you here beside me, the sun forgets to stay.
Loneliness is not the lack of company, but loss that fills the air,
A void where once a heart could beat, now only echoes there.
I wear the weight of absence like a shroud around my soul,
For in your leaving, you took with you, the half that made me whole.
So here I stand, a shadow cast by love that's flown away,
In this quiet, aching stillness, I wait for light of day.
But until dawn breaks through the dark, I'll walk this path alone,
With whispers of your memory, the only love I've known.
