Leanne Brigoli Poems

Dead of the night,
Your beauty unfolds—
No longer hidden,
Let it gleam.
...

Before, I used to break down and cry.
All of these questions end up with whys—
Why did someone choose to say hi,
But later on, he says goodbye?
...

Pleased to know thy name,
Ought I to know thee more—
Yonder than what I discern,
Into depths of the words thou dost utter.
...

Even nightfall Even nightfall can't extinguish—
Still, Thy glory gleams,
Penetrating every hidden corner
Until daybreak breaks the seams.

If I will look back and trace my path,
It was all miracles bounded by grace
You took me by Your hand and that was when I knew
I was no longer lost but was found, forgiven, restored and renewed
...

It all started like this:
We chose the gap the moment we rebelled against You.
We chose to be severed the moment we sabotaged the order of Your creation.
Sin and shame veiled our faces—
...

See how high these tides are—
They want to drown me as soon as they can.
Then I remembered I was like a big man,
Floating in an ocean, finding no land.
...

Slow to anger, filled with unfailing love,
Your faithfulness flows through a thousand generations.
The God of compassion and ocean-deep mercy—
You forgive rebellion, sin, and iniquity.
...

Through time I sat in stillness
My ramparts are fortified, nothing alike
Vieled with vines, bushes, and trees
I'm enshrouded by Your mystical mist

My Night's Sole Ally

Dead of the night,
Your beauty unfolds—
No longer hidden,
Let it gleam.

An ocean of stars
Meets my wide-eyed gaze,
A beauteous creation—
My night's sole ally.
