Is there such a truth as forgetting how to break
When this life that surrounds you is just too hard to take?
I'm doing everything in my ability to stay strong
So that people like you have what it takes to go on

Freedom rings while flags fly high
Hand over heart, she fights the urge to cry
Flashes of light and explosions jolt through her head
She still sees their faces, their eyes painted with dread
...

Could this be
Forever you and me
We will fly from our perch
We will continue to search
...

What happens when you sit down to write?
Do you see an overwhelmingly blank sheet of paper that threatens to swallow you whole?
Or do you see a song begging to be sung; a bridge wishing to be built for the sole purpose of connecting mind, body and spirit; a story yet untold, a vast plain of existence yearning to be explored?
Is the paper talking to you?

You tell me that I'm too good for you
But you won't say why this is true

How do I know that this is a fact
...

All I see around me is death and decay
All this negativity just gets in the way
When will the sun shine and make it all okay
Why can't the ones we love just stay for one more day
...

Fragile is my wounded heart and frail is my soul
I will not forget your part in creating this hole
You thought that you could bring me down and make me feel so low
But it is I who wears the crown and carries out the blow

Black as day and bright as night
These stars Oh how they give me sight
Gazing up with longing eyes
The infinite cosmos hears my cries

Take me to the funny farm
I can't stand this place
