It seems to help if I can write down what I'm feeling when I am upset. I have scribbled out many poems over the years but have always ended up throwing them away after a time. I have never allowed anyone to read them for fear that they would laugh or think I'm strange. I am certainly no poet but for me writing poems is therapeutic.

Beautifully perfect
From her head to her feet

Sipping his drink
As he sits on the bed
Rubbing his eyes
And scratching his head

As I lie here awake
Alone in my bed
Thoughts of last night
Start to run through my head

He sits drinking coffee
In his usual chair
Just within arms reach
But he’s not really there
