Sea Another World

Moonlight surfs the waves.
Bubbles of life explode on the surface.
I take a deep breath - float.
Now a long exhalation - sink.

Underwater gardens of orange, yellow & pink.
Sea Tulips sway in the breeze,
Visited by flying fish.
Schools glint invisible then reappear in the flick of a tail.
Sea the Horse cling to the weed - tiny, camouflaged.
Two eyes stare from between eight legs.
Sand lifts as stingrays fly - goodbye.
Sharp teeth and dorsal fins, sleek grey skin.

Shafts of sunlight pierce the blue in fans of white.
In the silence I hear my heartbeat.
In the stillness I move - undeniable, irresistable.
Rocked in the cradle of the world.
