Julia grew up mostly in the Drakensberg mountain region of Natal, S Africa, & worked & studied in Cape Town.
She then travelled for several years on a yacht which her family built in their back yard before settling in England in 1985. She now also works as a therapist, and writes other books about holistic wellbeing, including philosophy, consciousness, personal development, health, etc. She also writes novels. But she still writes poetry too (it would be impossible to stop) . She also illustrates her own work with her artwork.

these belong to the ego
controller -
...
If I look to the world with hearts in my eyes
Then surely I'll be intrigued and inspired.
If I touch the world with hearts in my hands
...
