Kept in a bucket in ice before every game
But Oh! how you can affect a dedicated team player, a nation, and
Many a devoted old and young fan
For your position on a stick, in a glove or out or in a net
Can affect the fortunes of so many
Yes - your just a hockey puck
But the future of every hockey game depends on
Where you end up every night
So what a great honour for you to have
So stay hard and tough cause we need you to last the whole game
