It still ain't like it used to be
Romance has left Paris and the lights have gone dim
Corruption now runs the country while the French are all drunk

We all remember the day he passed away
The stage wasn't the same without the King
The music lives on in his fans
Its hard to believe that so many believe he's alive

I've spent years being free to do what I want
Running around with the rowdy crowd
Drinking and staying out all night
There's been some outlaw women and some good hearted kind

Jesus Is Alive

I question Mary's story about seeing our Lord at the tomb
She told us what He said to her before he disappeared

Everyday they help those in need
Give comfort to those who grieve
They give crippled soldiers strength to walk
When times get hard they turn to God and talk

My mother's my best friend
She'll always give me strength til the very end
I never thought about it when I was young
I thank God for my mother's love

There's so many thoughts going through my head
I sit here with tears in my eyes for those who died
We stand here facing another mass shooting
Lord please bless the victims and their families

All those marching to say they matter
So many calling for our statues to be torn down
