In the 1990s, he pursued higher education at the University of Dhaka, specializing in Chemistry. Despite his scientific studies, he continued to write and emerged as a prominent poet of the 1990s in Bangladesh. Hasan has a deep love for theology, poetry, painting, and philosophy. He has 13 poetry books. He is also a translator and prose writer.
