Jaclyn Brantley Poems

My mother’s love is sweet and kind,
A gentle touch lets me know she loves me so much.

My life throws a curve and leaves me in a rut.
...

I keep my eye on the sky because I want to aim high.
I don’t just let life pass me by.
I want to make my mark before I leave.
I want to give people something to read
...

Tears shed while blood runs red.
The fright in their eyes and families are saying good bye.
A child dies with no good reason….Why?
...

I thought of you today, but that’s nothing new,
I think of you everyday, do you think of me too?
It hurts as much today, as it did the day you died,
A part of me was buried with you,
...

There are days I want to run,
There are days I feel I can’t climb that mountain anymore
There are days I feel falling to my knees and begging God please.
God never gives what one can’t handle,
...

There are times, I Can’t be around,
It doesn’t mean, I don’t care,
It does not mean, I wish not to be there,
It does not mean, I do not want to share,
...

Jennifer’s Poem

My mother’s love is sweet and kind,
A gentle touch lets me know she loves me so much.

My life throws a curve and leaves me in a rut.
With a touch of her hand, I know it’s going to be okay.
I know I have to crawl before I walk, and I know my mother will be there every step of the way.
When, and if I fall, she will be there to help lift me up.

My Mother’s love is like a river that keeps flowing it’s never ending, it just keeps growing.
No matter how much time passes, my mother’s love is ever lasting
