Ellie Sutton Biography
I'm Ellie, I'm 16, and I like poetry and song writing. I became Poet Laureate for my school last year, and am trying to encourage people to allow themselves to be creative and not restrict themselves because they're worried about what their peers might think, as so many people my age struggle with nowadays. That's about it; thank you everyone for your lovely comments, and watch this space :)
A dropp in the ocean,
It disturbs the motion
Of the world, that spins in time to the sound
Of nature’s intention,

What is love? Is it a statement? No.
A form to be contained inside one's soul
And sheltered from the world, forced to fly solo?
No. Love contains your soul, love makes you whole.

Time to make a change.
No more detours, deliberation, distractions,
Excuses won’t excuse you now.

When the sun peeps through the curtains
And the kids come out to play,
You'll find me in my bedroom
So the monster stays away.

I'd like to give a little explanation before submitting this poem.
For the 18 months I've been battling with anorexia. I wrote the first verse whilst in the thick of it, and the second 6 months later, beginning to come out of the other end.
I'd appriciate feedback :)
